At Coffee Surf coffee roasters roasting coffee is our passion. Here at Coffee Surf, we believe in living life to the fullest and enjoying the best cup of coffee possible Life’s too short to drink shitty coffee.


Coffee Surf was founded by Barry Petersen, former head chef and founder of Stay Gold Cafe and Restaurant in Belmar, New Jersey. As a coffee lover and food aficionado, and with the intense desire and knack for vibrant, top-quality flavor in the food and beverage industry; the drive to bring quality to everyone has led to the deep passion for coffee that is seen in every aspect of Coffee Surf.

Barry and his wife Jeanna exemplify the coffee surf lifestyle with their passion for music, chemistry and unique outlook on life. With such a fiery combination of passions and a strong love of coffee, they have come together to create a company that is more than just coffee.

We use the highest quality green beans from the finest growing regions in some of the most exotic locations around the world. Every bean is carefully roasted using convection and refractory heat for an even and consistent roast. This process develops and unlocks the complex flavors and rich body of our high-quality coffees. To maintain freshness, each bag of coffee is sealed in foil valve bags immediately after roasting, ensuring the tastiest cup every time.
